Settling In
We’re finally moved in. Thank goodness.
So far I’ve only managed to boil water and scramble a few eggs on the new stove, but that’s ok. I’m just glad to be unpacked, de-boxed and sitting at my clean desk. Never mind the nagging mountain of envelopes, documents and bills that is tainting my right peripheral view at the moment.
Of course, I still need to find a set of shelves to house the books that are currently occupying my window sill:
Its been a really long time since I’ve actually cooked anything out of a book, let alone cracked open any of the ones I bought as a teenager. Perhaps I’ll find something special in the plethora of pages for the first real meal in my new home. Let’s see…
